Who am I?

I'm Agustín Angulo (he/him), a recent alumnus of UC Irvine based out of North Long Beach, CA. My focus is on UI/UX design and development, but I like to explore different things here and there to expand my skills.

I want to make accessible and functional interfaces that are still enjoyable— the web can be fun.

There's more to tech than the technical. Empathy and end user satisfaction matter are a priority.

Diversity and representation in tech are important to me. Tech should be available for everyone.

About this site

This site may look a bit strange for a usual tech portfolio. When designing this site, I wanted something that more accurately represented me and my background. I'm working on a blog post to explain more of my design philosophy.

Skills

Learning is a necessity

My most relevant skills are those I picked up on my own. Tech moves fast and I can learn just as fast to keep up.

Good work creates better results

The work you put into a project shows. Focusing on better designing and organizing my work is paramount.

Communication matters

Teamwork and client work is a necessity for any position. Luckily, I have experience with both.

User research

A budget managing app with gameification elements to encourage better spending habits. The project's focus was more on the design process (e.g. ideation, prototyping, user evaluation) than the final product itself.

This portfolio itself is a project! I'll make the Github repository public once I'm happy with my work.

More on the way!

I'm always trying to expand my skillset by working on projects. There'll be more projects here soon!
